A PERSONAL PLACE
This thought has lightly touched my mind some times. I have heard a lot of different explanations. Many people believe that a personal place is a mental state. Other people think that a personal place is a place in your dreams. But I don’t think so.
I believe that a personal place is a space, where you can be yourself and be physically and mentally stable.
I don’t believe that there is one unique place for everyone. I have found a lot personal places myself. I can be physically and mentally stable in a lot of different surroundings. When I do something I really love, I find my self in my own mental place. It’s as though nothing around me gives any sense. That is a personal place to me. When it seems like time stops.
As said, I have found a lot of personal places. I have also found a personal place when I was all on my own. Suddenly I couldn’t remember where I was and what I was doing.

A place, where nothing is able to disturb me, where my thoughts can run wild, and having the feeling of being all on my own, is my personal place.
I get that feeling when I’m out driving on my racing bike. I can decide exactly where to go, and when. It’s me, and me only in my own personal place.
When I’m out skating, I get a completely opposite effect of what I just described. When I’m out cycling, I basically think about everything, and as I said before my thoughts run wild. When I’m out skating, my mind is completely free of thoughts. The only thing that I think about is the trick I’m about to do. Oddly, thinking about everything or thinking about nothing at all, both give me the same feeling of being in my own personal place.
But a personal place doesn’t necessarily have to be something mental. It can also be a geographical place that means a lot you. Obviously my home and, especially my room, means a lot to me since that’s where I grew up. But the place that means the most to me is my hometown, Vesterbro. That’s where I have some of my best memories and therefore it is my own personal, geographical place.

A personal place, for me, it can be both a physical place and place in myself.
If I had to define my best place, it would be both a physical and a mental state for me. Feeling happy while doing something physical, like working out or eating.
Working out (especially with music in my ears) makes me intense and focused on what I do. It makes me relieved and takes my mind off of everything. Sometimes things can keep pressuring my personal life. The two places that can keep me in my own world, is either while I’m eating or working out (or generally doing sports). I can focus on what I do, and only on what I do to get the right feeling. The physical motion of lifting weights or tasting harmonies of perfectly cooked food, creating a perfect symphony of joy and distance from the rest of the life. Especially eating after working out puts me in a perfect place, that makes me both full of energy and calm. Therefore I conclude that my ideal personal place is the mental state after doing my favorite physical motions.

There’s this place I know on Frederiksberg called Rialto. A place where burgers get flipped and the deep fryer seethe and bubbles. It’s a place where you can sit outside a hot summer evening and enjoy a fabulously meal beyond the usual.
One certain thing in this place that fondly tears my taste bud apart is when I surround a crispy and indescribable tasty cheeseburger, with all my 24 honoured teeth. This place does not serve a random well-tasty burger from some random soulless place. No, I talk about a Rialto Bacon Cheeseburger. The bacon in this heavenly piece of fast food crispier than you can imagine. Between the 2 well-baked burger buns a juicy and tender beef is covered with a thick layer of creamy, rich mayonnaise. Cheese, tomatoes, onions and fresh lettuce are things that’ll make this visit memorable. One visit and I can assure you that this won’t be your last time on Rialto. It’s the truth that you’ll become addicted to this food palace and you definitely will come for more delicious and delicate fast food. It’s a treat to visit Rialto and it’s simply essential for your satisfaction.
